Nostalgia Hot Dog Toaster Review

Few months ago I was asked to review a product from CSN Stores.

Good folks at CSN Stores allowed me to pick my own product to review. After hours and hours of browsing few of their online stores and having arguments with all members of my family we agreed on one product.

The product we decided to review was Nostalgia Electrics Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster and today during Review Tuesday I am finally sharing my opinions with you..

Nostalgia Hot Dog Toaster Review

The second my kids saw picture of the Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster they had to have……right away.

Apparently living without Nostalgia Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster is not living at all…it’s dull and boring, but………

……if they had the Pop Up Hot Dog toaster their lives would be so much better and…….wait for it……….

……they wouldn’t even have to bother me to feed them.

Well, what mother can say NO to proposal like that. Hot dogs all around….call the neighbors, bring your friends.

I gave in and I told the nice people at CSN stores to wrap up the Nostalgia Hot Dog Pop Up Toaster and ship it my way.

The minute my boys saw the box they were excited.

Nostalgia Hot Dog Toaster Review

The best toy (small appliance) ever….give hungry and growing teen and 8 year old package of hot dogs, bag of buns and Hot Dog Pop Up Toaster to test and you’ll make their day…..it was like Christmas in July.

The little unit didn’t disappoint.

The Nostalgia Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster weighs about 6 pounds and is approximately 13” x 9” x 12” in diameter.

It makes 2 regular size hot dogs and toasts 2 regular size hot dog buns at the same time.

The hot dog toaster offers 5 settings and you can chose how you like your hot dog done. You can go from barely done to nice and plump.

The Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster comes with little tongs that allow you to grab the hot dogs and buns without getting your fingers burnt.

As any toasters it has a little drip tray underneath that needs to be cleaned after every use.

The Pop Up Hot Dog toaster is very easy to operate and it’s perfect for kids as young as 10 years of age to use it independently.

Nostalgia Hot Dog Toaster Review

Children under the age of 10 will have fun using it with and adult or in my case older sibling help and supervision.

My whole family and friends were very impressed with the quality of the hot dogs. They were done to perfection and came with warm and toasted hot dog buns.

The Nostalgia Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster will be a great addition to any household as well as perfect gift for students.

Perfect to use at birthday parties, camping, sport gathering and making quick snacks.

You can purchase your own Nostalgia Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster at Cooking.com for under $25.00

Social media is a brand’s prime way of directly interacting with their audiences. So, when someone is telling them that unless they pay up, their Facebook presence will be wildly diminished, some worry will inevitably ensue. Take this message, one among hundreds that I’ve been seeing recently, concerning paid promoted pages versus unpaid:

Once again Internet, you are spreading rumors and putting people into unnecessary panic. Let’s straighten out the details.

While some of the information is true, we need to iron out the facts. Yes, brands now have the option to pay for promotion on Facebook. However, this will not affect the unpaid posts that Facebook has always had. Even before the option for paid posts, users never received every single post from every single page. The number of posts by a certain page that users receive is based upon how active they are on that page.

Facebook uses an algorithm called EdgeRank, which will measure user activity on certain pages. Users “like” a page, and at first, will receive select posts from it. After time, if they don’t like anything that page posts or don’t comment on it or visit it, EdgeRank will assume they’ve lost interest and those posts will no longer appear on their newsfeed.

The way around EdgeRank, as a user/fan, is to create an Interest List. Adding certain pages to the list specifically denotes an interest in them, and a user can go into their List and click a page to see all posts in one display.

The important thing to understand is that nothing has actually changed regarding a business’ ability to reach their fans, aside from the awareness of what has been in place. Rather than a message of panic, businesses should offer an enticement to their followers so that they don’t miss out on good content. Getting added to a user’s Interest List could be requested, but shouldn’t be pleaded for. In the end, the thing that will keep your audience coming back is interesting and useful content on a regular basis.

LOUISIANA

Louisiana is a state located in the Southern United States. Its capital is Baton Rouge and the largest city is New Orleans. It owns the tallest state capitol building in the United States, which is 450 feet tall and features 34 floors. In Metairie you will find the longest bridge over water, in the world, known under the name of Pontchartrain causeway and is 24 miles long. It links Metairie with St. Tammany Parish on the North Shore.

LOUISIANA

Louisiana is the only state in the union that has parishes as political subdivisions and not counties. The state received this name in honor of King Louis XIV.

Another well known facts about Louisiana refer to the state’s bird, which is the Eastern Brown Pelican, the state’s flower represented by the magnolia, the state’s tree, which is known under the name of Bald Cypress, “Give me Louisiana” –the official song, the state’s wildflower represented by The Louisiana Iris, or the official insect, which is a honeybee.

LOUISIANA

As for the local cuisine, they are proud of their boudin, which is a type of sausage link used in Cajun and Creole dishes. It is made of rice and ingredients like crawfish, pork, alligator, etc.. Also, the turduke is a partially deboned turkey with a deboned duck inside and a deboned chicken inside that, each having a different stuffing. Isn’t that an interesting dish?

A funny thing is that in Louisiana if you bite someone with your natural teeth, the act will be considered an assault, but if you bite that person with your false teeth, the act will be considered an aggravated assault.

This state’s official colors are gold, white and blue and the state motto is “Union, Justice, Confidence”. In conclusion, we can say that Louisiana is indeed a state of contrasts.

Take Stress Away From Kids Changing Schools

Take Stress Away From Kids Changing SchoolsThis is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kidzmet. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s hard enough for kids to go back to school after a long summer break…..higher grade…..new teachers…..new rules…..new expectations…….some new faces.

I know how my kids get all stressed out and anxious last week of summer break. They are excited to go back to school and see their old friends, but they are also worried what the upcoming school year will bring.

We live in the same town and same neighborhood for years and yet every September brings the same Back To School Challenge.

We are still living in the middle of economic slowdown and many people are still losing their jobs or getting transferred. They have to relocate to where the work is to take care of their families.

Few of my friends will be moving in the middle of this summer and their children will be starting new schools in September.

I can’t even imagine how challenging that would be to start brand new school…..brand new environment….brand new teachers…..brand new face…….talk about scary and unchartered waters.

Luckily, there is a help to ease the transition of changing schools and making it easier for kids to adjust to a brand new environment.

The help comes in a form of KIDZMET PAIRING PORTRAIT.

Stop Smoking Shot

There are a few clinics popping up around the United States that specialize in the stop smoking shot. It sounds too good to be true – a shot to quit smoking, but many users are convinced that the shot is truly a miracle.

Giving Feels Better Then Receiving

The SMART shot, a combination of two drugs called Scopolamine (used in the sea sickness pill) and Atarax (an antihistamine), helps block nicotine from being picked up by the nicotine receptors in the brain. This can help ease the common withdrawal symptoms many people experience when quitting smoking.

The original stop smoking shot used atropine, which could make people experience tachycardia, or rapid heart rate. It also contained Thorazine, which is an anti-psychotic drug! The new shot works quite differently, and unlike the old shot, it only requires one shot instead of three. (The original required two shots behind the ear and one in the buttocks.)

Giving Feels Better Then Receiving

Two of the most popular clinics that use the new shot are in Atlanta, Georgia and Tampa, Florida. Other clinics are opening up around the country, but as of now those are the two busiest clinics.

A shot is a good solution for people who have tried to stop smoking through various methods and haven’t been able to, or don’t have the discipline to use other methods. Since the shot doesn’t require you to remember to use certain aids, it can help you even if you can’t remember to use patches, pills, or gum.

Giving Feels Better Then Receiving

Another type of shot called QUIT 1-2-3 has also made it onto the market. It’s a bit different than the SMART shot, treating the psychological aspects of smoking rather than just the physical symptoms.

Both types of stop smoking shot require administration by a medical professional, so you’ll have to visit a clinic to get it. I recommend looking for a reputable clinic, because you want to be sure you’re getting the real thing and not a placebo or something that could potentially be harmful.

1 Instant Fire Starter

If you are like me and having problems to start the fire in your fireplace when hubs is not at home this handy tip is for you. Start collection of corks from wine bottles and keep them in a sealed jar that you filled with rubbing alcohol. Every time you are ready to start the fire just toss one cork under the kindling.Make sure you store the jar away from the fireplace and your children.

2 Quick Fix For Salt-Stained Leather Boots

Your winter leather boots are sporting white residue from all the salt outside. Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water. Dip little corner of cotton rag in it and gently rub the stains. Let it dry.

3 Quick Dry Wet Mittens

Slip each mitten over a bottom of an empty glass jar and stand it on top of your baseboard heater or radiator. The warm air will fill up the jar and it will dry the mittens from inside out. One of my favorite handy tips.

4 Make Your House Smell Inviting

After you turn on the light the room will be filled with the scent instantly.5 Perfect Belt StorageYour husband has lots of belts and they are all over your closet. All you need is a large clean coffee can. It is the perfect shape to keep hubs rolled up belts crease-free and without messing up your closet.elts

6 Remove Melted Candle Wax On Furniture

Winter is the season for burning candles throughout the house. Sometimes no matter how careful you are the hot wax makes its way onto your furniture. Just cover the wax with bag of ice until the wax becomes brittle. Then carefully peel the frozen wax off with a butter knife. In a bowl mix together 1/2 cup of Baking Soda and few drops of lemon juice.Dab it onto the spot where the wax was to clean away any color residue that was left from the candle.

7 Cheap Ice-Skates Covers

Don’t spend money from your household budget buying new Ice-skate covers for your children. Take your old garden hose and cut it to the length of the blades. Make a lengthwise slit and the ice-skate blades will be covered and protected from getting dull.

8 Keep Your Stairs/Sidewalk From Freezing

Before the rain turns into ice sprinkle baking soda on your steps and sidewalks. It will keep water from turning into ice and it won’t destroy your concrete like salt.
