Want To Have Botox Treatment Under The Eyes? Here Are Some Points To Be Considered

Botox is a chemical compound with many medical uses globally, and the most famous is the removal of wrinkles. Botox has a chemical component present in it which performs the main function observed while having the injection treatment. The chemical is known as botulinum which is thought to be toxic and only is taken in minimal amount. One who wants to have the treatment can take Botox services in Alpharetta, as they are thought to be the best providers.

The Botox injections could be taken on the various spots on the face, such as horizontally on the forehead, between the brows, under the eyes. All of these are the places that have the maximum amount of wrinkles and dark lines. These seem to be so prominent even at such a young age, and people want to have all the treatments possible.

Can Botox Be Used To Clear Wrinkles And Lines Under The Eyes

Botox injections are being thoroughly used to remove the appeared lines and wrinkles on the face, especially around the eyes. Botulinum in the Botox loosens the muscle around the area, thus preventing the skin from having wrinkles. These injections could reduce the lines and wrinkles around the eyes when treated at an optimum rate. Though the treatment of dark circles and bags around under the eyes using Botox injections is not approved by the government authorities.

A few years ago, a research experiment was made to check the positivity of these injections beside the eyes. And the results came in the favor as maximum percentages of women were thought to have resolved the problem. The crow’s feet and lower eyelid regions were clear in some time after the medication was completed. It is clear from the results that our lower eyelid could be made plumper and help reduce bagginess and wrinkles.

Cost Of Treatment

However, the cost of Botox is not fixed; there are many factors on which the cost is dependent. Some of the main reasons responsible for the variation are the office space, time taken by the injector, and clinic location. However, the main amount is decided by the authorities that may vary from $250 to $1500. But a difference in range is seen because of the location differences and the luxurious features taken. The person who will perform the procedure will have to make some compensation for the one who cannot make the full payments.

Minor Side Effects That Could Be Faced

As we know from the information provided above, Botox is not approved by the Department of Medicine to have some uncertainties. The injections are not approved by the authorities to use under the eyes because of the risks it brings with it. The eye is the most delicate part of our body, and we need to take care of it so that we don’t lose any of its benefits.

Facing difficulty in closing eyes, drooping and numbness in the eyes, and swelling in some areas are some of the risk factors caused by the injections. So, it is always advised by the doctors to task eth use of Botox when necessary. In some cases, the risks seen may severe, such as dizziness, bruising, bleeding often, and pain at the injection point.

Outlook

Though Botox having many uses that reduce the wrinkles and dark lines from the regions, it looks worse. It is not fully appropriate to use these injections under the eyes until it is the last option to choose from. One should always take the factors in mind before having a treatment and still requires opting to take help from Botox services in Alpharetta.

Who Was That Masked Woman The Facial Mask For You

It can be a little difficult for you to choose the right face mask. You have to know the meaning of mask, first. You have to be aware of allergic reactions. You have to select a mask that will work best for your skin. You do not have to simply choose.

FaceMedStore is the best place for the people to get the facial surgery and liposuction. There are different procedures available at the store to offer the best results. There is no requirement of any other treatment after selecting the store. You can check the rankings and reviews to get the desired results.

You can even make a face mask in your kitchen. It will be natural. You will have satisfaction.

But at first you must have a good knowledge of your skin. You can use some ideas. Even you use your own ideas, do not add preservatives. You can have hundred percent organic facial masks. The mask will work well for dry skin. You have to take two ounces of fresh avocado, an ounce of orange juice, tea spoon of acacia honey, tea spoon of molasses, and 5 drops of chamomile essential oil.

Blend these products in a blender. You can also mesh them by your hands. If the mixture becomes too thick, add some more orange juice. Apply mixture on your full face. Leave the mask for 30 minutes. You should rinse the mask by warm flannel. It will exfoliate, and clean your face as you wash the mask. Keep the left over in the refrigerator for one or two days. Your face will become moisturized and healthy.

Homemade honey face mask is good for sensitive skin. Warm a pot of honey in the double boiler. The honey should become warm, but not hot. Rub the honey on your complete face for 15 minutes. Now rinse completely, first with warm water, and then with cool water. Your face will look healthy and refreshed.

Another case is of oily skin. Homemade egg white mask is good for it. Put egg white on bowl till peaks are stiff. Add 6 drops of hazel, and 6 drops of lemon juice on whites. Put this mixture on your face for 15 minutes. Do not put on the eyes. Use butter mask for sunburned and sensitive skin. Beat unsalted butter with your chosen ingredient [strawberry is best]. Put the paste on your face.

Butter is a good source of vitamin A. It helps the sensitive/damaged skin. Facial masks are a great fun. Design a one, which suits your face.

Cucumbers play a crucial role in this mask treatment process. The cooling effect of cucumber soothes the eyes during the treatment. It also gives eyes a protection cover. Sometimes, you wonder to see that masked woman. You really want to have this treatment. If you cannot do this easy process, consult a woman the next door who often has this treatment. This is a great solution for beauty. The effort and money involved is less.

The Rewarding And Risky Sides Of Plastic Surgery

The magic of plastic surgery has been experienced by umpteen people for quite a long time now. The blend of technological innovations and medicinal inventions has smartened up countless lives so far. A look at the data and numbers of plastic surgeries would be enough to display its huge demand. And if it is in such considerable demand, it is obvious that these surgeries have ample benefits and happy patients. These reconstructive surgeries are invoking and fulfilling everyone’s beauty hopes.

Rewards of Plastic Surgery

The advantages of getting cosmetic surgery are not limited to just the physical aspect. The good points even extend to the psychological viewpoint as well. The benefits are not just bodily but emotionally engaging too. One may see here both the sides:-

  • Psychological Happiness

People get facial changes, breast reduction, or other corrections to have an enhanced look and feel confident personally and publicly. One may feel socially unacceptable or hesitate to participate in social gatherings or even workplace meetings for not being physically attractive. But cosmetic surgeries help to gain back confidence and self-esteem with flattering physical features

  • Healthy Body

Sometimes, a disfigurement is there since birth or may occur due to a misfortunate event later in life. Some of the physical problems may hamper the normal functioning of the body. A hump in the back may block routine movements, or hooded eyelids may haze the vision. Surgeries for such physical corrections come like a blessing making a person active and healthy to live.

Risks of Plastic Surgery

Breast implants, eyes reshaping, facelifts, skin contouring, and every other kind of cosmetic surgery has to go through bodily changes and clinical procedures. A prospective patient should keep in mind certain side effects or risks alongside the benefits.

  • Psychological Dissatisfaction

One has to be strong and make their minds up before and after getting plastic surgery done. The people around will talk about the new features. Some may indulge in leg pulling or grapevine talking. But it is imperative to believe that such gossip would not last long and eventually subside with time. If the surgical correction gives happy results, one should stay positive.

  • Health Issues

Even the minor stitches or operations would cause a certain uneasiness level for a short time. One should expect and be ready to face some discomfort or sideline health problems after the procedure. It is highly advised to consult the surgeon for such prospective risks or reactions. Some of the usual and less serious consequences may be:-

  • Allergies
  • Scarring
  • Mental shock
  • Slow recovery
  • Tissue injuries
  • Clotting  of blood
  • Skin or tooth infection

It is said that there are no gains without little costs. To enjoy and live the beauty-enhancing benefits, there may be some potential cons. Every individual’s body strength and mind frame is different. It is vital to engage an experienced and highly knowledgeable medical expert for getting plastic surgery. One should also convey their medical history to predict any surgical reactions. Stay beautiful! Stay smart!

The Various Types of Facelifts to Reenergize Your Youthful Appearance

We all want to stay young forever. The thought of growing old for many is a real fear. Unfortunately, due to a myriad of different conditions far out of our control staying young looking is near impossible. Environmental factors and the natural aging process take their toll on our faces. While, we can’t stop this aging process, there are ways to slow it down and sometimes even turn back the clock.

One of the popular cosmetic surgical methods used to bring back our vibrant looking youth appearance back is a Denver face lift. This surgical procedure is quick and easy, normally conducted in an outpatient facility such as plastic surgeon’s office. There are minimal, if any discomfort and complications after the procedure. Most Denver lifestlye facelift patients can get back to the daily swing of things fairly quickly.

As with any cosmetic surgery, a Denver face lift is determined by the incision and the procedures utilized during the surgery. With Submuscular Aponeurotic System Lift type of cosmetic surgery, a plastic surgeon works to rearrange the underlying musculature of the face in an effort to create younger looking appearance. Many surgeons also recommend liposuction to coincide with Denver face lifts to eliminate any subcutaneous fat after which excess sagging skin is cut away. This skin then is the sutured and sewn together. A facelift in Michigan at Partners in Plastic Surgery can help you look years younger without surgery. The rates of the procedure will be less for the person.

Here are some other types of face lift surgeries available:

Traditional lift –

The traditional Denver face lift utilizes a larger incision but produces the most dramatic, overall results once finished. The majority of patients who opt for this procedure tend to be older with more signs of aging to correct. If need be, newer techniques are sometimes combined to rearrange the face and make it more youthful.

Neck lift –

Nearly all cosmetic patient candidates inquire about fixing their jowly or “waddle” neck appearance which develops as we age. A sagging jaw line can age our faces more than wrinkles do. A chin lift eradicates this ugly problem but more in-depth cosmetic surgery on the neck area can really provide a more dramatic, youthful appearance.

Mini lift –

Typically an outpatient procedure, mini face lifts are minimally invasive but may not produce the results of a full face lift you desire. You’ll also hear these mini face lifts referred to as a weekend face lift since it is so quick. This is a procedure best suited for those between the ages of forty to fifty-years-old with small signs of aging to correct.

Cosmetic surgery additions and enhancements –

Some men and women opt for surgical injections or additional surgeries like rhinoplasty or Blepharoplasty to complete the look they want. Non-invasive remedies such as Botox or Restalyne injections decrease the appearance of wrinkles normally difficult to remove with skin excision alone.

Long Hair Care

Around 15 years ago, at the age of 40, I became convicted after reading 1Corinthians 11:1-16, to grow my hair long (and cover it, but that isn’t what this article is about). At the time, my hair was about shoulder length and I had long bangs in front. I had always admired long hair, but never had the patience to grow it out really long, especially after the children came and time was at a premium.

By far the most frustrating part was the bangs. For a very long time, I kept them, until I was challenged with the statement “Why would you cut what God calls your glory?” So I determined the bangs would go, too. This took several months before they were long enough to easily lay with the rest of my hair, but it did finally happen, and it was worth it.

I had permed my hair for years, and the result of this was that the ends of my hair were lighter than the top part. The top part, where nothing had touched the new hair, was also much shinier. A pregnancy in my 40’s, though, hastened the process of the old hair falling out and new hair growing in, as it is typical to grow new thick hair during a pregnancy, only to have it fall out again to its normal thickness after the baby is born. By the time my daughter was six months old, all old, permed hair was gone, and I was left with new, shiny hair.

Different people’s hair will grow to different lengths, then stops. In other words, depending on the person, hair will only grow so long before it stops growing, or maybe it falls out at this point. Mine just touches my waist. Other people may have hair that grows much shorter than that, and I know one lady whose hair drags the ground. Uncut hair will usually not be exact even at the bottom, but most of the time, the very middle will be slightly longer, giving it a rounded look.

Long, uncut hair should be handled carefully. The ends do not need to be washed as often as the top, but not washing the top of the hair will usually result in oily, dirty looking hair. You will need to determine your own skin type to decide how often to wash your hair, but remember, unclean looking hair is very unattractive, and if you are growing it for religious reasons, it’s a bad testimony.

Wet hair, whether short or long, is more delicate than dry. Once you wash your hair, finger comb it, or use a pick. Try to avoid hair dryers, as they will dry your hair out and make it more brittle and the ends more likely to split. Once your hair is dry, you can use a pick or a brush that is made to avoid tangles, and brush it smooth. If you are only going to be home all day, it’s then a good idea to pull it back at the nape of your neck, and then again half way down your back with ponytail holders designed to be easy to remove. This will keep your hair from tangling as the day goes on, and it will also keep it out of the way when you cook and do housework, so that your hair will stay cleaner. It is also advisable to check if there is a laser hair removal near Brampton so you can have a place where you can get rid of unwanted hair.

Natural products will keep your hair and the rest of your body much healthier. Local health food stores have many natural shampoos you can try. Melaleuca Products have nice shampoos. Since conditioners tend to weigh down long hair, it might be best to avoid using it on a regular basis. You can make your own hair rinse by mixing vinegar, green tea, and rosemary tea. Mix it in equal amounts, pour it down the length of your hair, and massage it into your scalp well after you wash your hair. It smells bad while you are doing it, but the smell goes away when your hair dries. Once massaged in your scalp, you can lightly rinse it out if you prefer. I also like to rub this mixture over my face as I use it in my hair, because it’s good for all of your skin.

Try to avoid using any heat on your hair as much as possible. If you would like to curl your hair, consider going back to the rag curlers from the old days. Simply wind locks of your hair in a circle around your finger, then slip your finger out and a strip of cloth in, tie it, and sleep comfortably.

Long shiny hair is a beautiful asset to your looks, and what God calls a woman’s glory. Consider growing your hair long, and reap a blessing!

How To Lose Weight By Drinking Water

Losing weight is simple; actually maintaining a healthy diet is an entirely different story. But there’s one very simple step you can take to lose weight, feel better, and get yourself started on the right path. What is it?

Drink water.

If you’re surprised, you shouldn’t be. Drinking eight glasses of water a day may seem like a redundant piece of advice, but it’s tried-and-true: It’s good for your general health, and it will help you shed pounds.

That’s because drinking water brings three very important benefits to your health and diet:

You’ll feel less hungry

You’ll replace liquid calories

You’ll increase your metabolism  Not buying it? Let’s look at each of these three benefits in detail.

Remember, however, that you shouldn’t drink too much water. This can lead to toxicity (known as hyponatremia) and can be life-threatening. Moderation and common sense are important.

Feeling Less Hungry

The key to using water to feel less hungry is to drink one or two full glasses before every meal. Just as well, drink water throughout the day and keep yourself hydrated — oftentimes, a “craving” for sugar or other poor quality foods is actually a misunderstood craving for water. Why this happens, I’m not sure, but it does seem to be the case.

Replacing Liquid Calories

Do you drink soda? Think about this: The average can of Coke contains 180 calories. The average bottle? 290 calories. It may not seem like much, but if you drink multiple sodas a day — or, worse, rely on sugary drinks as your primary liquid — it adds up. Fast.

If you truly want to get healthy, cut out the sugary drinks. Replace them with water. It might be difficult for a few days, maybe even torture for a couple of weeks. But trust me.

From personal experience, I can guarantee that it’s not as difficult as you may think. And, if you go without soda for a month or two and then decide to have one, you’ll realize just how much like floor cleaner it actually tastes.

Another benefit of cutting soda, while not related to caloric intake, is the elimination of extra caffeine. You see, caffeine is a diuretic, which means it actually dehydrates us by removing water from our bodies, and may also lower our metabolisms. This can be bad, and is certainly counterintuitive to any kind of diet, especially if we’re dehydrated, to begin with.

Increasing Your Metabolism

Here’s a trick: Drink a large glass of ice-cold water. Awesome. You’ve just increased your metabolism, and you’re already burning extra calories.

Now, I’m only sharing this information because I know it works. I used to drink a lot of sugary sodas, and water wasn’t exactly part of my diet. The odd thing about too much sugar is also that it ultimately slows you down. It makes you sluggish.

Eliminating the liquid calories and staying hydrated has proven to be as close to “easy” weight loss as you’re likely to get.

Of course, you should obviously try to eat healthier in general, exercise, and cut sugars and snack foods as much as possible, but the simple addition of adequate amounts of water to your diet can make all the difference. If this is not working for you then, you can try Coolsculpting. What Is CoolSculpting? Introducing Major League Trim: Reputable Salon Men Wants In L.A.

It sounds like every man’s perfect fantasy. Take something boring – like getting a haircut – and turn it into something desirable by adding the magic ingredients of an ice cold beer (or Gatorade or soda) as soon as you arrive, your own remote control to your own flat screen TV, and gorgeous girl stylists ready to make you look and feel like a million dollars. That is apart from getting the best possible men hair style to sport among their peers.

In the fashionable Westside of Los Angeles, Major League Trim has given men the ideal excuse for regular haircuts, manicures, massages and hot-towel shaves. Opened about a year and a half ago by three guys who had had enough of women getting the breaks, MLT has a blue and red design, looks like a basketball court (complete with miniature scoreboard), and is dedicated to those two male obsessions: sports and lookin’ good.

From the paintings of Muhammad Ali, the Rolling Stones and a Bullitt-era Steve McQueen, shirts signed by Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson (yours for $900) and the 7-foot bobble-head statue of basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, MLT is made for men who are man enough to need more than a bowl and a pair of scissors to get through life.

There are no dog-eared top-shelf magazines to read while you wait here; we’re talking Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Muscle  Fitness;, Spin and Vibe as well as expensive shaving kits, hip flasks, travel chess and manicure sets on sale alongside the usual designer gels, shampoos and pomades.

On the day your intrepid Irish Herald reporter paid a visit he was welcomed by two lovely Irish-American lasses, Colleen Alise (nee Fagan) 23, and Rin (short for Erin) McDaniel, 20.

As the Rin’s “nippers” cut away the dead skin from my nails during my first ever manicure, Colleen showed me the shamrock tattoos on her feet, talked about her fascination with sharks, and revealed that men are just as picky as women about their looks – often more so:

“I think every guy secretly is concerned about that stuff, but in L.A. they maybe feel a little more free to express it.”

Born and raised in Southern California, Colleen knew that she wanted to cut hair since she was 14 years old, and has been working the scissors for six years:

“I love everything about it, and meeting new people is fun because each day is different from the last.”

Although she has yet to visit Ireland, she and her sister Shannon have strong connections to the Emerald Isle. Her great-grandfather immigrated to the US, and her grandmother Patricia lived in Southern California most of her life:

“We don’t go in for celebrating lots of holidays in my family, but I’m a real stickler for St. Patrick’s Day – I turn my mum’s house into a pub.”

Rin was born in Whittier and grew up in Downey. Her father was Irish, and she also has vivid memories of her grandmother, who passed away a year ago:

“She used to answer the phone by saying “top of the morning to ya!” Seriously. And she loved her corned beef and cabbage”. She first started training for her cosmetology license during High School, when she initially thought it would just be something fun to do:

“I didn’t realize how much I would love it, and now there isn’t anything else I’d rather do. I think men are relieved to have a place (MLT) that they feel completely comfortable in to get their haircut.”

Unsurprisingly, the clientele is overwhelmingly young men – lawyers, businessmen, students and even some television celebrities (they both remained tight-lipped on exactly who) – and an older guy came in too while I was having my nails soaked in oil, buffed, and filed.

As we talked, Rin and Colleen mentioned that they have been looking for a new Irish bar to drink at since Dublin’s on Sunset Boulevard closed, and that neither of them are interested in being a singer/actress/model/whatever – there are plenty of those in this town already. They saw cosmetology more as a way to travel the world, even (hopefully) making a trip to Ireland one day.

As for the future, MLT has plans to expand into the Valley area north of Hollywood. They are part of a small but growing trend of themed salons dedicated to men’s grooming and the trend of metrosexuality. Apparently a metrosexual man looks at his nails by spreading them out in front of him, whereas other men scrunch the fingers up like a gorilla for a good look.

I used to fall into the latter category, but no longer. After the manicure was over and I had drained my bottle of beer, I had to admit that my nails did look clean and tidy, and even had a bit of that Hollywood sparkle!

Before I left I asked Colleen if guys ever come in just to ogle or chat up the girls:

“If they want to stare at girls, they can go to “Hooters”. Men are hungry a lot more than they need haircuts, and if we don’t do a good job then they won’t come back. So many places cater to women that it’s about time the tables were turned!”

Apparently all girls love a man who takes care of himself, and I was beginning to see that getting a haircut was going to be a lot more enjoyable from now on….

How To Pick The Best Hair Dye Product For You

Women and more recently even men have been dyeing their own hair at home for years. Once you get it down to how you like it and what product works best for you it is not such a scary and anxious experience.
Products for hair dye have come a long way and that means good news for the consumer because we now have a great deal of high quality products to choose from and also many stores to purchase them from. The people who work at these beauty stores are usually people who are still in the business or have been in the beauty business for some time and they can give you some pointers also.

I have found the most helpful place to get information about dyeing your hair at home is on the Internet. You can search through and read up on any personal stories, professional tips and insider knowledge. There are also some stories about hair color disasters that you can avoid by reading about someone else’s experience and how they handled it. You just have to be carefully aware that someone’s blog or review of a product might be just another advertisement for that company, as now a days that is how some bloggers and reviewers and even commenting on blogs make their money by endorsing the companies product and making it look as though it is an unbiased individual who is neutral.

Another issue that comes up frequently is that “professionals” will pretty much 100% tell you not to even attempt this because they are the only ones trained to do this; of course they are going to tell you that partly because it is how they make their income, and also they do see first hand the disasters that some people create because they have to try to fix them. I just do not agree that you can’t dye your own hair, and there are a lot of people have been doing it for many years.

You need to consider that no matter how close to color or cut or even heredity you are to someone else your hair is completely different than anyone else’s to choose Laser hair removal is a medical treatment which is necessity if you want a perfect looking face. And with that fact comes the other revelation: You have no idea how a hair care product or dye will work for you until you actually bite the bullet and use it. That is why every product states very clearly to do a strand test for sure, from the first time you use the product and every time after, because you can and will have different results even in a day’s time. Your hair and body and stress level, environment, weather, etc. change every time you dye your hair, so if you have any apprehension at all by all means do the strands test first. Once you know your brand, how it usually turns out, how you want it to turn out, you may feel confident enough to just jump right in because you have gotten good results and trust that you know what works and what doesn’t. But, if you read about someone’s disaster or success, just be aware that until you get a little real time experience under your belt, you won’t know for sure what your hair will do.

Waxing vs. Laser Hair Removal: Which is Your Best Bet?

Unwanted hair is a problem that American women and some men spend millions of dollars on every year. These days there are so many different methods it is hard to determine which option matches you needs. Most people want to go with a hair removal treatment that has long lasting or even permanent effect. The two methods that fit this standard are waxing and laser hair removal. Before making a decision on which is right for you, you should observe the pros and cons of each before you make your choice. It might be a good idea to take a visit to the coolsculpting center of NJ to assess your options.

Laser hair removal is becoming more and more popular in the beauty community everyday. Its ability to remove unwanted hair from an area permanently has made it popular among high class women all over the world. There are several different types of machines used in laser hair removal; each being affective in their own way. The Alexandrite laser has a long pulse and can penetrate deeper into the skin than most laser beams. The laser creates an excess amount of heat to build up in the shafts where the hair follicles are located and paralyze them, stunting growth. While this method is deemed effective for short term hair removal, The Alexandrite laser requires two to five visits for best results and has a relatively short term results. Diode laser on the other hand uses two different types of lasers; one to reach deep follicles and one to treat hair closer to the surface and is typically more effective in removing hair follicles located deeper into the skin. The third popular laser hair removal machine is the Ruby laser. People tend to like this machine not only because it removes hair on a long-term basis, but because the machine is also equipped with an “Epiwand” which serves as a skin coolant to reduce irritation and burning.

Though Laser hair removal is affective there also major disadvantages that can make the experience not worth it’s while. Even though it is deemed successful in removing hair on a long term basis, it is not an option that is affordable for everyone. According to hairremovaljournal.org the average hair removal visit will run you $429, sometimes higher dependent on your technician.

This is a major down side considering it takes 4-5 visits to see best results and these visits must be done in a certain length of each other to be effective. The normal person does not have this kind of money lying around. $429 could be their mortgage or car payment, which are definitely bills that take priority over hair removal. If in fact you can get over the price tag there are several more disadvantages to this type of procedure including the possibility of irritable skin and burning at the very least. You also have to worry about developing urticaria which is a severe allergic reaction causing hives and irritation. There have also been reports of scarring and instances of skin discoloration that can last for more than three months. Darker toned people and people who self-tan have been said to see further complications.

Waxing is another method of semi-permanent hair removal with significantly less complications. Waxing involves the use of a combination of wax and other substances that are heated and applied in a thin layer upon the skin. A piece of cloth is laid on top of the wax and pulled off quickly against the grain of the hair, removing it at the base of the follicle. Hair removal is not permanent but it can be anywhere from three to eight weeks before you see any hair come back to the area. Though the results don’t typically last as long, waxing has several advantages over laser hair removal. The first of these is price. You can do it in your own home with products purchased over the counter for around $20 or for better results you can have it done at your local salon. On average a full waxing visit will cost you anywhere from $60 to $150 depending on what you want done and the salon that you decide to employ. A little pricey but no where near as expensive as laser hair removal. Another benefit is that there are very minute side effects is comparison to laser treatment. The waxing itself, though uncomfortable, is not unbearable and the pain fades in a moment. After the fact you may have minor skin irritation for the first hour or so and this can be effectively treated with a small amount of baby oil or your favorite face moisturizer. Waxing also causes exfoliation, getting rid of dead skin and making the skin smoother without the risk of skin discoloration and scarring that you find with laser hair removal.

Both of these methods are affective in removing hair on a more long term basis than you would see with shaving. For those of us that can handle the shock of the price tag and will risk the possible side effects you may find laser hair removal effective while others with sensitive skin and modest budgets will prefer cheaper methods. You may also be able to get a price over the phone as a means of shopping around for the better deal. Which ever you choose be sure to research your salons and technicians to be sure of their qualifications. Ask other women in the community who they prefer. Typically if other women like yourself have enjoyed their experience so will you. The better reviews you get on your technician the more assured you will feel in your decision.

PurTox the Botox Rival

Mostly everyone has heard of the marvels of Botox to fight those aging wrinkles and receive kudos among the celebrities that use it from Jenny McCarthy to Virginia Madsen.

You are either for or against Botox and either way Botox is a booming business and leader of the pack when it comes to anti-aging injections.

Just this month at the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium, industry leaders and plastic surgeons had come together to discuss the newest possible anti-aging injections. Although you can get your Botox treatments all over New Jersey, it is worthwhile to check out this option.

Dr. Brian Kinney, assistant professor of plastic surgery at USC in Los Angeles and one of the keynote speakers and prominent reconstructive plastic surgeon, was among one of the twelve investigational sites, which had just concluded the Phase 3 clinical trials for PurTox.

According to Dr. Kinney, the phase 3C clinical trial was conducted with six or seven hundred patients from 12 different centers. This was the final FDA tests for PurTox.

The patient study had been completed in March and April. Dr. Kinney notes the study had run for three years and the best study he had ever done on patients. Dr. Kinney remarked, “People love it”.

Purex is not yet available. PurTox developed by Mentor Corporation, corporate headquarters in Santa Barbara, California. They are being recognized as direct competition for Botox, even though they are still being evaluated by the FDA for decreasing glabellar rhytides also called brow furrows and frown lines. Much like Botox, testing and pending approval are based on just the glabella region (forehead). Regardless, off label usage may prove just as effective as Botox had done. Off label, usage is when a drug is used in a way that is different than that described in an FDA approved label.

Patients who had taken part in the study had received either PurTox or a placebo in the first part of Phase 3 trials. Dr. Kinney noted that the comparison against PurTox of the placebo had saline. Dr. Kinney and associates had used a rigorous rating system. They had used high-resolution photography to guarantee the most precise results were being captured. Dr. Kinney noted that month after month they had used the photography with patient’s heads in a grid with a standardized camera and a color correction computer system. The photos had been verified as real by an outside source. Dr. Kinney in closing remarks that when he observed the patient photos of PurTox, he had looked at their pore size and wrinkles or lack of wrinkles to objectively evaluate the product.
